PSFA breaks ground on new offices and warehouse

Posted on October 12th, 2015 by Charles Grey

resented by the Minister of Education in the Western Cape, Debbie Schafer, Debbie congratulated PSFA on the outstanding work we do in assisting Government to feed the many hungry school children in the Western Cape, and wished us all the best with our new building. In her address, she highlighted the fact that PSFA does not only provide additional nutrition to our learners, but also plays an important role in encouraging our learners to arrive early for school and stay in school. The meals provided by PSFA allows children to focus on their studies rather than their stomachs and helps to increase school enrolment and attendance, decrease drop-out rates and improve cognitive abilities. Rev Canon Rodney Whiteman led the invocation where he asked all in attendance, to give thanks and reflect on the act of turning the soil which symbolises the opening of future opportunity for every recipient and those whose lives PSFA will touch in the future. It also symbolises the opportunity to plant new seeds of hope in peoples’ lives.

Government officials, members of the media, the professional team consisting of J.B. Burmeister Architects, SAT Quantity Surveyors and structural engineers, De Villiers Sheard cc, our suppliers, partners and PSFA board and staff attended this very special event.
We are scheduled to move into our new offices and warehouse at the end of May 2016.
